Today I will address the issue about the famous Japanese entertainment office which committed sexual abuse to many boys a long time ago.
This accusation was presented on 8th March 2023 , BBC（British Broadcasting Corporation） broadcasted the video as “predator : the secret scandal of j-pop” worldwide.
This video made a big impact and shocked the world!
And curious to say, this office had been prosecuted for sexual abuse against boys in 2002,
The supreme court had admitted the fact of committing sexual abuse to boys.
However Japanese media had not announced or publicized this trial to the public.
And the perpetrator died in 2019.
I was shocked, felt bad and sick vomit when I watched the video on BBC.
I couldn’t believe that boys were in junior high school at the time.
The boys could not understand this conduct (=sexual abuse).
Recently, other victims(=boys) have revealed sexual abuse and hope to establish a third party committee to
asses many victims of abuse there have been, how badly they have been affected mentally and emotionally and if they need counselling.
In addition the Japanese diet moved hearing from victims of sexual abuse to confirm detail of situation at the time and will need further consultation to reform constitution,
However, the Japanese entertainment office has said that it will make the effort to prevent a relapse of this situation and will employ many outside directors to ensure safety.
But if the Japanese media had known that boys had received sexual abuse since a long time ago?
The Japanese entertainment office would lose trust from the public and society.
I think that these incidents make distorted concept to children that “if I want to be the star, rich and achieve Success, I will receive unwanted sexual behavior from industry executives.”
A popular Japanese word that means “fight!” and “try hard!” is “Ganbaru! “
What dose “Ganbaru” mean?
How much is success down to real talent or effort?
What happens when young people become successful thought controlling managers?
